Have wheels, will travel

"Where are those Neumans?" you might ask. "Haven't heard from them in a while."

Yes, life has been pretty busy for some weeks! Let's see if we can catch you up.

From April 10 - May 22, we visited friends, supporters, and reported to 6 supporting churches on both sides of Washington State. E. Washington kept us busy reporting to one church and encounters with friends and 5 supporting families.

On the West side, God cared for us for an entire month through the hospitality of Orting Community Baptist Church as we stayed in the mission house on their property and traveled to our churches. Lydia even had opportunity to talk about missions with two Awana groups and share her testimony with a large group of young adults and another youth group.

As we reported on what God has been doing in these last three years and shared what the future holds for both us and for Lydia, we were encouraged in so many ways! God's family ministered to us through feeding us, housing us, encouraging words, sharing how God has worked in their lives. Thank you to each of you with whom we had the chance to interact.

Along the way, we have taken time to enjoy God's beautiful creation, take some hikes, appreciate history in several museums and even research Lynda's heritage in Oregon east of Portland.

Much to our surprise, Jerry became really fatigued the evening of May 24, falling into bed when we arrived at our friend's house near Salem, Oregon and staying there until we tested him for Covid the next afternoon. With the positive result, we felt it necessary to move to a hotel so he could isolate and not contaminate others. Praise God his bout with Covid was neither very serious nor long. After a week of rest, we were able to resume our travels.

As God promises in Romans 8:28-29, this change to the agenda had a beneficial outcome besides letting Jerry rest. Lydia and I were in a comfortable hotel room equipped with a desk to study and couch for relaxing. Lydia diligently used the desk studying for her ABWE doctrinal exam.

That major step in her journey towards joining ABWE was accomplished at our next stop in Weaverville, CA. APPROVED!! Next step in her process is New Missionary Orientation at ABWE Headquarters starting July 9.!!

The three of us continue to make our way south, stopping to see friends along the way. We'll be with Luke and Danielle this Thursday and Friday--Celebrating the end of the school year AND our 49th wedding anniversary ❤️ We have one more church meeting in Oceanside June 11 and ministry in a VBS the 19th.

After a week in Hemet sorting through and hopefully emptying the storage unit, we'll all fly out June 20th to visit supporters, friends and family in the Midwest, then on to ABWE in Pennsylvania.

Your continued prayers are so important to us! We hope you'll use the past news in this post to guide you in thanksgiving and the future plans to lift us before the Father in the weeks to come.

Jerry, Lynda and Lydia
